My group and I brainstormed some basic ideas/themes we have seen in other noir films and wish to incorporate into our own. We all agreed on using high pitched sound effects or music to create an unpleasant atmosphere in certain scenes in our film. We also liked the idea of using red imagery to convey a feeling of danger, lust or passion, and we could do this by using red props, settings or items of clothing in certain scenes, or even putting a filter over our film to give it an overall subtle red tint. We also thought about using reflections or distorting the images in our film by using mirrors, window reflections or puddles.
