Requirements

Over the duration of the course, I will need to complete the following to gain a deep understanding of the film noir genre and how to construct my own film:

• Research and analysis of films from the genre to give me an understanding of the conventions and meanings put forward by the filmmakers. 
• Research and understand the conventions of short films. 
• Construct an original noir film in all of its stages - pre-production, production and post-production. This will include establishing a suitable narrative, choosing suitable actors, locations and props, and creating original music to use in our film. 
• Keep a detailed record of our progress - eg. creating video logs, screenshotting group discussions etc.
• Detailed evaluation of my final film and the processes involved in its creation.
